Engineering clarity from design through estimation
I am Zein Abdelrahman, a Senior Civil Estimation Engineer with more than five years of experience across structural design, BIM, tendering and civil cost estimation.
I began my professional career in structural design at Consolidated Contractors Company, working across major international industrial, energy, hospitality, commercial, airport and infrastructure projects.
From structural design to civil estimation
Structural design developed my understanding of how engineering decisions affect construction, coordination and deliverables. Moving into civil estimation allowed me to apply that foundation to a wider part of the project lifecycle.
Today, at Nesma Infrastructure & Technology, I review tender packages, develop civil BOQs, evaluate quantities and quotations, and support cost and value-engineering decisions for major energy and infrastructure projects.
My strength is connecting technical engineering with commercial decision-making: understanding the engineering intent, identifying the civil scope, quantifying it and converting it into a clear and competitive cost structure.

Master’s studies
Master’s studies in Construction Management at Ain Shams University. The degree is not presented as completed and no thesis title is claimed.
Leadership and operations
Alongside engineering, my experience at Ihyaa Academy strengthened my operational thinking, financial responsibility, vendor management and problem-solving. Verified outcomes include approximately 15% overall expense reduction, approximately 12% cost reduction while maintaining programme quality, and approximately 20% procurement cost reduction through supplier negotiation.
I have also supported young people through character-building coaching and contributed to programme quality and training through Pirates Egypt. These experiences support my leadership profile without replacing my primary engineering focus.
Beyond engineering
As a former competitive judo athlete, I achieved first place in an Arab championship, third place in an African championship and served as team captain at El Zohour Club. The discipline and resilience developed through sport continue to shape how I work.
